Why Goals are Important to Succeed with Internet Business Systems
I know you have probably heard this a million time, but if you are going to achieve real results with the internet business systems you have choose to pursue you are going to need to set goals. You need to have something to work for and goals will give you a path to follow and something to seek.
Short Term Goals:
These should be goals that are quickly attainable with a little work or by doing a certain action. These small goals when achieved will help keep you motivated and on the path to reach you longer term goals.
An example of a short term attainable goal would be something like:
· I will write two articles each week.
· I will submit my site to 50 directories each week
· I will add two posts to my blog each week
Those are short term achievable goals that can be attained on a regular basis. Each time you achieve success with one of your short terms goals you are building on your long term success.
Long Term Goals:
These are goals that you are working for down the road and could even be a couple years away. Having long term goals helps keep you focused on the big picture of why you are doing what you are doing.
Some example of Long Term goals would be something like:
· I will go to work for my own business on May 5, 2012
· I will rent an actual office to business on May 5, 2012
· I will pay off all my credit cards by May 5, 2012
As you can see long term goals are something that is going to take a lot of work and time. Actually putting a date to your long term goals will give you a specific time frame. If you do not put some type of time frame to your goals they will not seem within a reachable period and to vague.
Every small business person needs to have goals in order to be successful. You need something to gauge your success on and something to work for. It is also a good idea to add a statement to each goal to really solidify the reason for setting the goal.
· I will go to work for my own business on May 5, 2012
- When I go to work for my own business I will be my own boss, set my own schedule and have more time to spend with my family.
Do not take setting goals lightly and be serious about what you want to achieve. Starting your own business will have its challenges and you might find yourself a little discouraged at times. No matter what internet business systems you have choose to work with having goals will help you achieve the success you deserve.
